Visa Fees All visa application fees are payable for each applicant, including dependants.The fees are payable in South African Rand. The acknowledgement of your visa fee payment will be valid for 15 working days from the date of payment and applicants must submit their applications within this period. Payments You can pay your visa application fee in the following 3 ways: 1. By bankers cheque at a visa application centre - issued by any South African bank and favouring the British High Commission, Pretoria. 2. In cash - at any of the Nedbank branches in South Africa. The account details for the British High Commission bank account are: Account Name: British High Commission Account Number: 1454092696 Account Type: Current Account Bank Name: Nedbank Important: Applicants need to use their passport number as the payment reference number 3. Online - Only Visa and MasterCard credit cards are accepted. We are unable to support any other type of credit cards such as American Express. Payments by debit card are not permitted. Once an online payment has been taken applicants will receive a confirmation email from our payment provider RBS WorldPay - a printed copy of this payment confirmation should be submitted as part of your application as proof of payment. Electronic fund transfers (EFT), internet transfers, direct debit payments and any other mode of payment other than the above are not acceptable. Important: The visa application fee reflects the administrative costs of processing an application and is not refundable if your application is refused. If a payment has been made and the application is not submitted or if the applicant refuses to provide biometric details with their application, then we will refund the fee. These fees are effective for all visa applications made from 11 January 2010 The consular rate of exchange is 1 GBP= 12.5 ZAR.
